On Friday, April 24, the Robert Dale Chorale will join with The Doug Smith Jazz Trio to present a program featuring the music of the 1930s and 1940s.

The program begins at 7:30 pm at Shopland Hall in the Scranton Cultural Center. Tickets are $15 general admission, $12 for seniors and WVIA members, and $7 for students. Children under 12 will be admitted free when accompanied by a parent.

On the program are many favorite songs of the era, including In the Mood, It’s Only a Paper Moon, Night and Day, Stormy Weather, Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, and others by Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Richard Rodgers, Jerome Kern, Harold Arlen, and Frank Loesser.

“I’m very excited about this program and the opportunity to collaborate again with The Doug Smith Jazz Trio,” said Chorale Music Director Steven Thomas about the upcoming performance.
