Biscontini’s Dancers Warehouse receives top honors in Talent Competition

Members of the competition dance company at Stacey Biscontini’s Dancers Warehouse recently competed at the Performing Arts Alliance Talent Competition on May 22 to 25 in Valley Forge.

Students from the Dancer’s Warehouse in Taylor, attended the competition and proudly came home with 59 “Top” Honors in nine different dance forms, age ranges from four to 18. The students competed in solos, duets, group and line competition in the dance forms, hip hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, classical ballet, pantomime, and specialty, modern.

The Junior Company and Senior Company of the school finished with an impressive winning streak, with more 80 percent of their routines being honored in the “Top” Awards.

Dance schools from New York, New Jersey, Maryland and Pennsylvania were in attendance, bringing with them some of the best and brightest young performers from their areas.

Members or the Competition Company are: Bailey Smith, Brianna Genello, Sierra Berardelli, Camille DeMatteo, Georden Gesford, Katie O’Brien, Sarah Wesoloski, Tabitha Filipski, Samantha Shea, Sarah Demyan, Lauren Dempsey, Meghan Beahan, Samantha Coleman, Emilee West, Isabella Demyan, Anna Harris, Bridgeen Joyce, Catlin Gesford, Gene Biscontini, Frankie Butler, Morgan Jo Hartman, Tori Kochmer, Lauren Dawsey, Jillian Ikeler, Jenny Lyn Chaump, Nikki Mangan, Alisha Matthews, Katelyn Dawsey, Caitlin Collins, Laney Caputo, Matt Lynady and Jazmine Fenton.

In addition to the Company three younger students, who are apprentices to the competition team, Daniella Granahan, Caylin Gibbs, Dawn Kroptavich were in attendance competing in solo and duo events. These students come from all over the area to study with Biscontini, they attend school at Pittston Area, Scranton, Lake Lehman, Nanticoke, Honesdale, Lakeland, Abington Heights, Wyoming Valley West, Old Forge and Riverside.

The school also welcomes the newest addition to their Competition Company, the Elite Petites. The girls range in age from 6-8 and have been studying dance from 2-4 years. The school congratulates, Dawn Kroptavich, Caylin Gibbs, Natalee West, Julia Emmet, Francesca Bracey, and Angelina Macrina, as well as the addition of Gina Krempasky to the Senior Company.
