Christmas Bazaar set

The V. Rev. Archpriest John D. Sorochka, pastor of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral, Mayfield, and the bazaar committee have announced the dates for the annual Christmas bazaar sponsored by the parish, which will be held on Nov. 13, 14 and 15 of this year at St. John’s Center, Hill Street, Mayfield.

The bazaar will be open on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, between 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. On Sunday, Nov. 15, the bazaar will run between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Featured will be local vendors selling wares on the upper and lower levels of St. John’s Center.

St. John’s kitchen will be selling food items, including St. John’s homemade pirogie, clam chowder, cabbage and noodles, pizza, fish sandwiches, French fries and more on Friday, Nov. 13. Other food items will also be sold on Saturday and Sunday, including homemade cabbage roll (halupke) dinners, gyros, Italian wedding soup, split pea and ham soup and a large variety of other meat products. On Sunday, Nov. 15, dinners along with other food items will be served from noon until 3 p.m.

St. John’s Gift and Book Shop has many imported items from Russia, the Holy Land and Greece, such as Matroshka dolls (nesting dolls), olive wood manger sets, icons, amber jewelry and photo albums.
