The Civic League will be hosting its Fifth Annual Comedy Night on Thursday, Nov. 12, at the Ramada in Clarks Summit. The comedy night is the Civic League’s largest fundraiser and is returning by popular demand, this year featuring the comedic and magical stylings of Tom Yurasits, a nationally -known performer noted for incorporating the audience into the show, using more than 25 years of experience to delight and awe spectators.

Yurasits is noted for being the first magician to have made a 1,600-pound cow disappear before a live audience at the Allentown Fair. Yurasits has appeared at such venues as Caesars, Harrah’s, the Sands and Trump Plaza, as well as appearances on “Criss Angel’s Mindfreak Special” and Euro Disney TV, to name just a few.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. and a dinner served at 6:30 p.m., that will include homemade desserts. A cash bar and basket raffle will also be held. Community members can shake off the winter doldrums and enjoy the fun for a mere $35.
