Forest City author shares story in ‘Pick Up the Pennies’

From childhood in poverty to coming-of-age during the Great Depression and World War II, Forest City author Michael T. Goskowski has experienced unique challenges. He shares his story in his new book releasing nationwide, “Pick Up the Pennies: In Every Season of Life.” The philosophy of this story may seem very simple and practical; but for the author, it became a light that guided his life.

Goskowski’s childhood years were difficult as his family struggled to rise above poverty and degradation. Growing from boyhood to manhood during the Great Depression and World War II helped create an interesting life and an interesting man, but it was his aggressiveness and optimistic attitude toward the future that kept him focused on achievement and progress.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available at any bookstore nationwide or can be ordered through the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore or by visiting barnesandnoble.com, amazon.com or target.com. This is also an eLIVE title, meaning each book contains a code redeemable for a free audio version from TatePublishing.com.

Goskowski is a business owner, who founded and managed Kartri Sales Company, Inc. He has a degree in business administration from The University of Scranton and numerous credits from other institutions. Honorably discharged from military service in 1946, the author served in the U.S. Signal Corps and the U.S. Air Corps. He currently resides in Forest City, where he has been involved in numerous community organizations and activities.
