Philharmonic concerts July 3, 4

The Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic will present its annual Independence Concerts on Friday, July 3 at PNC Field in Lackawanna County and again on Saturday, July 4 in Luzerne County at Kirby Park. Both concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. Fireworks will begin at dusk following the performances.

These special Holiday performances are made possibly by the generous support of longtime Philharmonic patrons; Prudential Financial for the July 3 performance and Martz Trailways for the July 4 performance.

Following tradition, the Philharmonic will perform Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” during the breathtaking fireworks display. New this year, concertgoers will be invited to participate in “Sing Out America” led by special guest soprano Katy Williams.
