Clarks Summit UMC to be “Swamped” for Vacation Bible School

A summer kids’ event called Crocodile Dock will be hosted at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church from Monday, July 13 to Friday, July 17. Kids jump into bayou fun at Crocodile Dock where they participate in memorable Bible-learning activities, sing catchy songs, play teamwork-building games, dig into yummy treats, experience electrifying Bible adventures, and create crafts they’ll take home and play with all summer long. Plus, kids will learn to look for evidence of God all around them through something called God Sightings. Each day concludes at Firefly Finale—a celebration that gets everyone involved in living what they’ve learned. Family members and friends are encouraged to join in daily for this special time at 8:10pm.

Crocodile Dock is designed for kids aged 2 to 14 and will run from 5:45pm to 8:30pm each day. There is no cost to participate at Crocodile Dock. All of the expenses have been covered by members of the Clarks Summit UMC as a community outreach. Dinner is also provided each night free of charge to every participant.

This year students who have graduated from 4th, 5th, and 6th grades will be working on building a community prayer garden at the church.

The VBS is annually one of the largest in the area. You do not have to be a member of any church to attend.

For more information, call the church at 570-587-4141 or log onto www.bigbibleschool.com.
