County announces design contest

The Lackawanna County Department of Arts and Culture, the County of Lackawanna Transit System (COLTS) and Bike Scranton are sponsoring a competition to design bicycle racks for Lackawanna County. The goal is to promote alternative transportation and beautify the area with works of public art. The top three designs will be selected for fabrication and a prize of $1,000 will be awarded to each winning designer.

To enter the competition you must be a resident of Lackawanna County. The deadline for entries is Monday, August 10. Complete guidelines can be found at www.lackawannacounty.org.
