EMNC appoints new leadership

The Endless Mountains Nature Center welcomed four board members at its annual meeting, held July 28. Board member Scott Myer was appointed president, following Rebecca Lesko, whose term expired with the closing of EMNC’s 2008-2009 fiscal year. Upon the resignation of Debby Remington, the position of secretary was filled by board member Sarah White. Newly appointed board member Cindy Warburton will also serve as treasurer, replacing Amber Zygmunt. Laureen Maloney was elected to serve a three-year term as a director on the Board.

Myer is employed as a science teacher at Wyalusing Area High School. He resides in Tunkhannock with his wife, Kelly. White has lived in Northeastern Pennsylvania all her life and teaches English as a Second Language for Tunkhannock School District. She currently resides in Sweet Valley, with her husband Joshua . Originally from Union Dale, Warburton received an AA in Liberal Arts and a BA in Accounting, both from Keystone College. She is currently employed by Keystone College as the Division Assistant to the Communication Arts and Humanities Division. She is married to Peter R. Warburton and has a son, Jacob Pierson. They currently resided in Tunkhannock.

Maloney moved to Northeastern Pennsylvania to become the Head of Children’s Services at the Lackawanna County Children’s Library in Scranton. She lives in Tunkhannock with her husband, five children and a daughter-in-law. For details, visit www.EMNConline.org.
