Eagle Scout assists Library

Members of Boy Scout Troop 160 gather to celebrate completion of Connor Fleming’s Eagle Scout Project at the Abington Community Library.

Shown, front row, from left, are: Matt Gronsky, Connor Asay, Joe Festa. Back row: Connor Fleming, CJ Corrigan, Mason Spangler, Aaron Fleming, Nick Brunamonti, Tyler Asay, Brian Vietz, Jordan Hughes

Fleming, a 16-year-old Life Scout from Troop No. 160 in Clarks Summit, chose the Abington Community Library as the site of his Eagle Scout Project. He oversaw the creation of a picnic area for staff and patrons of the Library on the Grove Street side of the building. Connor was eager to take on the project because in doing so he knew that it would please his grandmother; she passed away last year and was an avid reader.
