Elk Mountain Fall Festival Oct. 11, 12

Elk Mountain’s Fall Festival 2008 will be held on Oct. 11 and Oct. 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is open to the public.

Some of the activities will include: scenic chairlift rides for $3 from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; musical entertainment by the “Empire Keystone Brass” on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.; “Penn Dixie”, directed by Barney Wilkins, who are a band celebrating their 20th anniversary and will perform on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.; and “Old Friends” on Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The Winter Garden Restaurant will be open serving lunch from until 4 p.m. on both days, and the Ski Shop arts and crafts exhibits and sales will take place throughout the events.

Weather permitting, there will be hayrides and pony rides.
