This year’s Halloween at the Waverly Community House, Saturday, Oct. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. will offer a variety of games and crafts for children of all ages. With a Fall Harvest theme, a carved pumpkin contest will be held; those who wish to enter are invited to bring a pre-carved pumpkin for judging. Rob Smith will once again display his juggling skills at the event and a local Girl Scout troop has set up an “Adams Family” themed haunted house. According to Melinda Ames, special events coordinator for the Waverly Comm, local businesses have made donations for gift baskets to be raffled. Halloween at the Comm, which is organized by the Family Fun Committee of Waverly Comm, will be held Saturday, Oct. 31 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the front lawn in the North Wing at the Community House, 1115 N. Abington Rd., Waverly, PA 18471. This event is free to the public; donations are welcome. Shown, Noah Parfrey makes a pumpkin at the 2009 Waverly Comm Halloween Parade.
