MetroAction grant to help children

Little People West, Scranton, recently got a boost from MetroAction’s Child Care MicroGrant program. A $500 grant allowed the school to purchase a new creative curriculum to support the development of the over 200 children in their care. The MetroAction Childcare MicroGrant program awards 10 MicroGrants each year to improve the quality of childcare in eight counties throughout northeastern Pennsylvania. Shown at the grant presentation are, from left: Deborah Callahan, director of education, Little People West and Desiree Ranella, business development specialist, MetroAction.
