The Northeastern Pennsylvania chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners, in partnership with The Northeast Pennsylvania Business Journal, announced the selection of 25 outstanding woman business owners from northeastern Pennsylvania. Recipients of the honor will be recognized at a luncheon scheduled for June 18.
“Our region is fortunate to have a wealth of successful women,” stated Patti Brown, president of the local chapter of NAWBO. “Our nominees come from all types of organizations, some come from corporate positions, many are small business owners. All of the women have brought leadership to our community and are an inspiration. I am frequently touched by the stories of these women’s lives, many of whom have brought jobs, growth, and recognition to our community.”
Over 150 women were nominated for the honor, a 25 percent growth in the number of nominations received this year over last.
