The locally owned magazine is supported by local advertisers and features national and local articles about how to create a healthier, more balanced life. Each issue includes information on greener living, healthy children, natural pet, fitness, local healthy recipes, outdoor living in northeast Pennsylvania, as well as global environmental news.
Natural Awakenings was launched in 1994, as a project of love by Sharon Bruckman, a leader in the holistic field. She did this in an effort to connect likeminded readers and enlighten others toward a healthier, happier lifestyle. The content of Natural Awakenings Magazine intends to inspire health, healing and environmental responsibility. In keeping with our commitment to the environment, Northeast Pennsylvania Natural Awakenings is always printed on recycled paper, using soy or vegetable based inks. Gravatt, a musician, who formerly worked in the construction field, said, “We are committed to environmental responsibility and feel so grateful to share this information with our community.”
