Santa travels aboard the Stourbridge Line

The other eight reindeer are taking it easy, but Rudolph will be joining his good friend and employer, Santa Claus, aboard the Stourbridge Line Rail Excursions Santa Express in Honesdale. While Santa usually prefers to travel by power of reindeer, he looks forward to his annual diesel-powered jaunts aboard the Stourbridge Line. Santa’s personal assistant scheduled this years Santa Express runs for December 5, 6, 13 and 19. Santa won’t be working night shift on this gig, either. Daylight departure times are at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. On this round-trip ride to Hawley, Santa and his red-nosed buddy will be meeting everyone on the train, naughty or nice. Pictures can be taken with Santa and Rudolph, holiday sing-a-longs will ring out, and a special gift will be given to children. Call the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce for reservations at 570.253.1960 or 800.433.9008. Tickets are $15 for those 12 and under and $20 for riders aged 13 and up. Reservations are required. For additional information, visit the Chamber’s web site at www.waynecountycc.com.

Shown, Peighton Smith, of Waymart, tells Santa, Mrs. Claus and Rudolph exactly what is on her Wish List.
