Thunderstorm damages areas of Clarks Summit

A thunderstorm which occurred on Friday, June 26, damaged areas of Clarks Summit Borough and also Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit. The thunderstorm, which occurred around 3:30 p.m. Friday, uprooted several trees, falling on area homes.

Houses on 228 and 223 Claremont Avenue in Clarks Summit were damaged during the storm. Areas of Clarks Green and South Abington also saw damage from the storm.

On the campus of Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, trees along the pond were uprooted and snapped in half from heavy winds. No damage to any of the buildings or personal injuries were reported on the campus. For the full story, see this Wednesday's edition of the Abington Journal.
