Chanukah Wonderland was held at the Jewish Discovery Center on Northern Boulevard in Clarks Summit on Tuesday, Dec. 23. Local Jewish families celebrated the eight-day holiday with fried donut- making, dreidel-painting and a lighting of a menorah made of ice.

Rabbi Benny Rapoport, co-director of the Jewish Discovery Center, lights an ice sculpture of a menorah sculpted by Joe Mangino, Scranton, the executive chef of the Community Medical Center.

Inside the Jewish Discovery Center, volunteers teach children how to make fried doughnuts called sufganiot. At center, Lauren Larar from Dalton demonstrates kneading the dough into a sufganiot.
