“Kids Around the World,” A Multicultural Kids’ Festival To Benefit Timmy’s Town Center will be held on Sunday, September 20 at Scranton High School, 63 Mike Munchak Way, Scranton. The event is geared toward children of all ages. In case of rain, the event will be held in the gymnasium at Scranton High School.
Representatives from the region’s ethnic communities are planning art activities, musical entertainment, presentations on gardening, meteorology, ethnic dance, origami and yoga for children. Ethnic foods will be available.
Timmy’s Town Center, Inc., (TTC) is a private, not for profit organization formed to create a children’s museum in honor of Timmy Kelly, who was stricken with cancer and died at the age of five.
WBRE/WYOU TV is media sponsor for the event. An additional media sponsor is The Abington Journal.
