April 15: The Junior League of Scranton Cinderella’s Closet, the Tripp House, 1011 North Main Avenue, Scranton will be transformed into a boutique where high school girls can purchase their dream dresses and prom attire for less than $10 at from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event, in its fifth year, will feature gowns that have been donated by community members through dress drives coordinated by local high school girls. Cost: Open to the public, free of charge, and sponsored in part by Hazzouri Dental and Sarno and Son. Proceeds from prom attire purchases contribute to the Junior League of Scranton Scholarship Fund, established through the Scranton Area Foundation, and presented to a young woman who exemplifies leadership qualities.
