Invaders set 50th year celebration

West Scranton High School Class of 1959 held the second meeting of the 50th year Reunion Committee hosted by Bob and Frieda Hanselman at their home in Lake Ariel on August 27.

Discussions during the meeting included plans for a possible tour of the school and an evening mixer the day before the event, which will take place on July 25, 2009. A “save the date” postcard was mailed to many addresses no longer current, and the committee continues to revise the mailing list. They continue to make calls in search for classmates that are yet to be located. Final plans will be discussed at their meeting which will be hosted by Albert Magnotta on October 20.
