Dear Editor,

I recently attended a meeting of the newly formed group Endless Mountains Animal League. I was deeply impressed with the goals and dedication of the members who promote humane education as one of their top priorities. Pennsylvania is often known for it’s lax anti- cruelty laws, failure to enforce them, and sadly for it’s puppy mills. While it is difficult to tackle all the various animal issues here, Endless Mountains Animal League is sincerely attempting to make a difference and improve life for our fellow creatures. Future goals include a foster program, spay neuter program, rabies clinics, humane law enforcement and the education of young people about humane treatment of animals. I urge other animal lovers to support this group by volunteering, donating and participating in sponsored events. This much needed organization proudly proclaims on its T- shirt “We are their voice!” I truly believe through the determination and devotion of the hard working volunteers of E.M.A.L. that voice will be heard loud and clear.
