Jonny Littman, of Hop Bottom, received a special Christmas gift this year, a new toy Ford 150 pickup that, “goes fast just like
Dad’s.”
Jonny does not have use of his legs due to spina bifida, so the toy was adapted by Rich Lee, Biomed Technician at Allied
Services so Jonny could operate the toy with hand controls.
The Occupational Therapists and Technicians who work for Allied Services Toy Adaptation Program modify toys for children with disabilities so they can more easily use and enjoy them, as well as receive the intellectual and physical benefits of play.
Allied Services, located at 100 Smallcombe Dr., Scranton, offers free adaptations year round. For more information please call 348-1342 or 826-3700.
