Bald Mountain Orchard offers holiday 'magic' in their apples

Michelle LaCoe of Bald Mountain Orchard was in the spirit of the Fall Fun events held at South Abington Park on Saturday, Oct. 11. LaCoe was representing Bald Mountain Orchard as one of the vendors at the South Abington Township Farmers' Market. The Orchard, which has been a vendor at the market for 10 years, was selling apples that bore a haunting resemblance to Halloween jack o'lanterns. LaCoe said the orchard has been growing the holiday apples, shown on the table in front of her, for the past 13 years. When asked how the orchard created the apples, she laughed and said it was "magic."
For more photos of the Fall Fun events hosted by the Abington Business and Professional Association at the park on Saturday, including scarecrow making and pumpkin carving, see The Abington Journal in print on Wednesday, Oct. 15.
