Bird was the word at 30th annual Clarks Summit United Methodist chicken barbecue

Super Chicken made an appearance at the United Methodist Church in Clarks Green on Saturday, June 6. This king-size bird will made the rounds at the dining tables and signed autographs.

“He is called ‘Super Chicken’ because this guy can fly, and he wears a red shirt with the ‘big S’"  said Dick Thompson, publicity chair for the 30th Annual Chicken Barbecue at the church.

Grill staff was supervised by “Head Rooster” Warren Watkins.

Chairman Mike Pacyna said that baked potatoes, coleslaw and homemade cakes complement the meal.
