Clarks Summit Borough plans tire collection

By Gerard Hetman/Abington Journal Reporter

As part of a countywide initiative, Clarks Summit Borough will host a tire collection on Saturday, Nov.7, from  8 a.m. to noon.

The collection will take place at the Clarks Summit DPW Garage, located on Davis Street in Clarks Summit. A donation of $2 for regular tires and $5 for truck/SUV tires is required; all donations will benefit the county-run tire collection program. All tires must be free of water and off the rims on which they were mounted.

The borough is also in search of volunteers to assist with the collection. For more information or to offer your services, contact Councilman Patrick Williams at 570.587.5567.
