The Lake Winola parade and carnival was held Thursday, June 26 and ran up to Saturday, June 28. Also at Lake Winola on June 26, a parade was held.

The Elk Lake cheerleaders of Elk Lake High School in Dimock held a concert of local rock bands and singers on Saturday, June 28 at the Lazy Brook Park in Tunkhannock entitled “Concert in the Park.” It raised money for the cheerleading squad. They also collected items to send to local troops stationed in Iraq.
