PennDOT alerts to heavy traffic at Clarks Summit exit on Interstate 81 southbound

According to a PennDOT alert on Monday, July 6 at 1:14 p.m., on Interstate 81 southbound, Lackawanna County at exits 199 Scott-194 Clarks Summit/US 6 WEST/US 11/I476 SOUTH TURNPIKE there may be heavy traffic volumes. Stop and go traffic near mile 199 can be expected due to long term work zone Exits 197-194 and holiday travel. PennDOT suggests an alternate route. There may be a backlog of about three miles.
