Ann Weeks White owned the Golden Eagle School of Riding for more than 40 years. She died February 1 at 91.
According to Christine Davis, owner of Your Horse Resource for Northeast Pennsylvania, "Ann Weeks White was an amazing woman. She owned The Golden Eagle Riding School in Dalton. One of her childhood show horses was named The Golden Eagle. I rode and worked for her for many years. She not only taught horsemanship, but taught me morals and responsibility at an age when I needed to be taught both. She had such class. She watched over us as ‘Mother Eagle.’ The world is a little emptier without her in it but boy oh boy, what a legacy she leaves behind. She touched and taught so many people, she will always live on thru them and theirs.”
