So long, summer vacation

Local students, from preschool to college, began to bid farewell to summer break over the past week. Keystone College in La Plume held its return to campus on Thursday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 21. Approximately 350 students will be residing on campus. This year’s freshman class will be approximately 500 students, residents and commuters. Classes for all students at Keystone began Monday, August 25. On Thursday, Aug. 21, Lackawanna Trail High School offered incoming seventh graders an opportunity to practice locker combinations, tour the building and become oriented to the school. And on Tuesday, August 26, Our Lady of Peace School in Clarks Green held its opening day of classes. Our Lady of Peace fourth grader Ryan Williams said, “I’m excited to go back.” His sister Sarah, who entered first grade, said she was excited as well.
