Town goes Pink

Get Pinked efforts took place all this week starting on Monday, Oct.6, where Abington Journal Correspondent Rob Specht, among others, were featured on WNEP 16 at Sanderson State Street Salon in Clarks Summit getting his hair dyed pink in support of the American Cancer Society.

That evening State Street Grill hosted a Celebrity Bar Nite to benefit the American Cancer Society. State Street will host the Bar Nite every Monday from now until the end of October, from 7 to 10 p.m.

And, the Scranton Cultural Center will be teaming up with the Sanderson State Street Salon this Friday Oct. 10. The Salon will be at the Cultural Center at 6:30 p.m. to offer temporary pink streaks and clip-on extensions to the patrons before the Center’s Friday Forum Series performance, “Mama’s Night Out” at 8 p.m.
