Noelle Elizabeth McGuirk, 19, of Clarks Summit, died Friday, Feb. 22, in Moses Taylor Hospital. Born Dec. 15, 1988, in Fresno, Calif., she was the daughter of Brian McGuirk, Clarks Summit and Sue Sulema Soto-Correa, Clarks Summit, and stepdaughter of Marcelo Correa. She moved to Clarks Summit with her family in 2001 and was formerly of Spokane, WA. She was a 2007 graduate of Abington Heights High School and was a freshman student at Penn State Worthington Scranton campus. She was employed by Weis Market as a pharmacy technician. She was a violinist and an avid thespian, having performed in area theater leagues. While at Abington Heights High School, she was a member of the chorus and drama club and performed in school plays. Her performances included a starring role as Adelaide in “Guys and Dolls” in 2006 in Scranton. Also surviving are three sisters, Natalie, Annika and Lexi McGuirk, at home; a brother, Ari McGuirk, at home; paternal grandmother, Gladys Bahlhorn McGuirk, Fort Lauderdale, FL; two aunts, Sandra Hevaghan, Los Angeles; and Patrice Blackstone, Seattle; an uncle, Ector Soto, Pomona, CA and her godparents, Helen and Dino Fotopoulos, Torrance, CAThe funeral will be Saturday, March 1 with Mass at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State St., Clarks Summit, to be celebrated by Monsignor James J. McGarry, with the Rev. Craig C. Sweeney, rector of Church of the Epiphany, Glenburn, present. Interment, Clarks Green Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends Friday, Feb. 29, 5 to 8 p.m., at the Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
