Margaret M. Kelleher Weisenberg, 95, of Niagara Falls, N.Y., died Saturday, March 15, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence, Lewiston, NY. She was the widow of Theodore J. Weisenberg, who died Dec. 2, 2002. The couple had been married 68 years.
Born Jan. 31, 1913, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Denis and Nellie Healey Kelleher. Before moving to Niagara Falls in 1997 to be with her daughter, she lived in Clarks Summit for 48 years. She was a graduate of Scranton Central High School and attended Marywood College. She was a surveyor for R. L. Polk Survey Co. before becoming a homemaker and mother. She was a member of Our Lady of the Snows parish and its Women’s Guild, Clarks Summit and a former member of the Abington Women’s Club, where she served as a trustee.
Surviving are a daughter, Ann Griffiths and husband, Albert, Niagara Falls; two sisters, Sister Mary Joan Kelleher, I.H.M., Our Lady of Peace Residence and Catherine McGee, Scranton; three grandchildren, Kevin Griffiths and wife, Kimberley, Grand Island, NY; Kathleen Hoffman and husband, Fred, Buffalo, NY; and Senior Chief Mary Patricia Lester, U.S. Navy, Virginia Beach, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Collin and Mallory Griffiths, Grand Island. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Jack R. (Jane) Watson; three brothers, Vincent D., John D. and William E. and a grandson, Kenneth.
Memorial Mass will be April 26 in Our Lady of the Snows Church, to be celebrated by Monsignor James J. McGarry, pastor. Interment, Cathedral Cemetery.
