Edward Link, 81, of Tunkhannock and Handsome Lake, died Wednesday, March 19, at Mercy Hospital in Scranton. His wife is the former Elizabeth “Betty” Davies Link.

Born in Scranton, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sadie Novitsky Link. He has been a resident of Tunkhannock since 1990 and prior living in Dalton. Prior to retirement he was employed with General Motors for over 30 years. He was an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the Nativity BVM Church.

Also surviving are a daughter, Susan Link, Tunkhannock and a sister, Evelyn Wilcom, Scranton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Link; sisters, Helen Kich and Ruth Kaufmamm.

A Mass of Christian Burial was to be held on Monday, March 24 from Nativity BVM Church, 99 E. Tioga St., Tunkhannock with services by Rev. Paul J. Sellam, pastor. Interment will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton. Arrangements from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit.
