Sara M. LaCoe, Scranton, died April 3 at the Mercy Hospital. She was married to Clyde LaCoe.

Born in Des Moines, Iowa, she was the daughter of Nina Newman Shiner and the late Theodore Shiner. She has been a resident of Scranton for the past 15 years. Also surviving are two daughters, Danielle Carney and her husband Andy, Wilkes -Barre and Julie Middaugh, Bloomsburg; a son, Wayne Sherman, Iowa; brothers Theodore, Thomas, Richard, Jeffrey, Michael, Darryl and Timothy Shiner and Harold Sherman; sisters, Carol and Victoria Shiner all of Iowa and Rebecca Magalski, Wilkes- Barre; 17 grandchildren.
