Alma Nancarrow, 97, formerly of Clarks Summit, died June 26 at the Lackawanna County Health Care Center in Olyphant. She was the widow of Fred H. Nancarrow, who died September 15, 1997.

Born on August 16, 1910, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Mary Dropunski Yearing. For many years she served as a tax collector for the Clarks Summit Borough. She was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Scranton.

Surviving is a daughter, Barbara J. Nancarrow, Clarks Summit, a granddaughter, Katheryn Kern Buckley, Dunmore and three great grandchildren, Brial, Anya and Ian.

A memorial service will be held privately at the convenience of the family in St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Scranton, with services by the Rev. Peter D’Angio, Rector. Arrangements by the Lawrence E.
