Annette H. Johns, Clarks Summit died Friday, May 23, in the Hospice Community Care Center, Dunmore.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Arthur H. and Gwen Davis Johns. She had been a resident of the Clarks Summit area since 1968. Prior to retirement she was a sales clerk in the shoe department of the former Globe Store in Scranton. She attended Summit Baptist Bible Church and was a former member of the Dr. Jones United Church of Christ. She was educated in the Scranton Public School District and a member of the Laurel Garden Club.

Surviving are four sisters: Irene Smith, E. Stroudsburg, Gwen Albright, W. Pittston, Marjorie Summers, Vestal, NY and Betty Akers, Knoxville, TN; a brother Arthur Johns, Lewes, DE, nieces and nephews.

A funeral was to be held on Tuesday, May 27 in the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by Rev. Dr. Mark Schmitz, senior pastor of the Summit Baptist Bible Church. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery, Dunmore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Summit Baptist Bible Church, 232 Noble Rd., Clarks Summit, PA 18411 or the Laurel Garden Club.
