Aurelia “Baldwin” Smith, 99, died Wednesday, June 4, at the Abington Manor Nursing Facility. She was the widow of Parker H. Smith who died in 1980. They were married for 54 years.
Born June 10, 1908, in Peckville, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Harmon O. And Jane Lowry Baldwin. She was a resident of Dalton most of her life and prior to retirement she was the manger of the Dalton Elementary School cafeteria. She was the oldest living member of the Dalton United Methodist Church, as well as a member of the Dalton Women’s Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Lois Bagley and Lenore Cramer, both of Dalton, eight grandchildren, 14 great- grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Emily Trojan and a sister, Lenore Baldwin Gardner.
A memorial service was to be held on Sunday, June 8 from the Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S. Turnpike Rd., Dalton. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Fairlawn Cemetery, Dalton. Memorials may be made to the Dalton United Methodist Church, 125 S.
