Esther P. Spence, 74, of Nicholson, died Saturday, July 19 at Mountain View Care Center in Scranton.

Born in Brooklyn NY, she was the daughter of the late Claude and Ora Roberts Spence. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church of Nicholson. She resided in Nicholson for the past nine years.

Surviving are three sons, Paul Cozzoli, Nicholson; Peter and Joseph Cozzoli, both of Brooklyn, NY, a daughter Deborah Dunphy; Brooklyn, NY; a brother Richard Haas, Westbury, Long Island, NY; two sisters Eleanor Mead, Brooklyn, NY and Adelle Davis, Costa Mesa, CA, seven grandchildren and one great grandson.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, July 23 at 10 a.m. from the Our Lady of the Snows Church, 352 S. State St. Clarks Summit. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Queens NY. Arrangements from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit.
