Jeanne A. Lowe, 90, Clarks Summit, died Monday, June 16, at the Mountain Rest Nursing Facility in Scranton. She was the widow of George F. Lowe, who died on April 16, 2003; the couple was married for 60 years.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late William Anna Preston Kapp. She was a resident of Clarks Summit for over 20 years and prior to retirement she was an office worker for the former Linder Brother’s Coat Factory in Scranton. She was a member of the Church of Epiphany in Glenburn, and a former member of the Women’s Golf Association at the Scranton Canoe Club. She was a graduate of Dunmore High School and Penn State School of Beauty Culture.

Surviving are two daughters, Linda L. Phillips, Clarks Summit and Barbara J. Lowe, San Diego, CA; a brother, Robert, Scranton; two grandsons, John and Andrew Phillips; a great granddaughter, Iris Scott Phillips and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Raymond, Edward, James, and William Kapp and a sister, Grace Meade.

A memorial service will to be held on Saturday, June 21 at the Church of Epiphany in Glenburn with services by Rev. Graham Cliff. Interment will be in Woodland Memorial Garden on the grounds of the Church of Epiphany. Memorials may be made to VNA Hospice, 301 Delaware Ave., Olyphant PA 18447 Arrangements by the Lawrence E.
