John Juice

John Juice, 97, Glenburn died Thursday morning, Oct. 15, at the Abington Manor Nursing Facility. He was the widower of Sarah Juice Deininger, who died in 2006.

Born in Scranton, Juice was the son of the late Samuel and Stephana Juice. Prior to retirement, he had several occupations, including a self-employed farmer. Juice enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter. He rarely missed his daily walks.

Surviving are three daughters, Rita Juice Chopko, Dalton, Mary Elizabeth Amico, Lewisberry, and Edith Davitt, Dickson City; two sons, Harold Stanton, Warminster, and Raymond D’Arienzo, Owings, Md.; a brother, Sam Juice; three sisters, Rose Juice, Helen Osterburg and Mary Sichak; several grandchildren, including Nicholas and Alina Chopko; nieces, nephews and great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by sisters Olga Hoffman and Stella Juice.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Greenwood Cemetery.
