Kathleen Mary McCleneghan Hall, 62, of Dunmore, died Tuesday, Sept. 30, at home.



Born March 10, 1945, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Hugh and Marion O’Donoghue McCleneghan, she married her best friend, Frank Hall, on Feb. 22, 1968. Before moving to the Scranton area in 1981, she lived in Hollywood, FL and Brooklyn. She graduated from Our Lady of Perpetual Help High School, Brooklyn, in 1962. She served as fiscal manager for the Voluntary Action Center since 1982.She was a member of Unity Church, Wilkes-Barre, and a community volunteer who worked with many organizations, including the Women’s Resource Center, RSVP, Big Brothers/Big Sisters and SCOLA. She had a special way of helping those in need. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Surviving are two sons, David Hall and wife, Laura, Manhasset, NY; and Jaymes Hall, Lancaster; a sister, MaryAnne McCleneghan, Dunmore; a brother, Martin McCleneghan, Hempstead, NY; five grandchildren, Corrine and Kendall, both of Manhasset, NY; and Abbey, Dayvid and Dylan Hall, all of Lancaster.

She was also preceded in death by a brother, Hugh Francis McCleneghan; and her former husband, Frank Hall.

A celebration of Kathleen’s life was held on Saturday, Oct. 4 in Unity Church, Wilkes-Barre, 140 S. Grant St., Wilkes-Barre. Memorial contributions may be made to charity of the donor’s choice.
