Madeline Ivanik O’Donnell, of Waverly, died Monday, June 15, at home. She was the widow of the late William P. O’Donnell II, who died in 2002.
Born in Old Forge, daughter of the late George and Julia Hrobuchak Ivanik, she was a member of Our Lady of the Snows Church.
Both Madeline and Bill, aka Midge and O’D, always could be found among their many friends golfing or socializing. Now they are reunited with our heavenly father resting in eternal peace. Midge and O’D were longtime members of Glen Oaks Country Club and their legacy will forever be remembered.
Surviving is a son William of Waverly, three daughters, Doreen Gera and husband John, Ocala, FL; Kelly Murphy and husband Mike, Bluffton, SC and Leslie Engelking and husband David, Scotts Valley, CA; a sister, Elaine Koveleski, Clarks Summit and seven grandchildren; Gabrielle, Alexa, William, Brooke, Blake, Bridget and Kaylyn.
She was preceded in death by her husband William in 2002, her mother Julia Hrobuchak and her daughter Linda Giombolini in 2000 and a brother, Eli Ivanik in 1973.
A Mass of Christian burial was held from Our Lady of the Snows Church, S. State St., Clarks Summit. Interment will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, Waverly.
