Margaret McLaughlin Sulick

Margaret McLaughlin Sulick, 91, of Fayetteville, N.Y., died Wednesday, Oct. 28, at the home of her daughter. She was the widow of Peter Sulick, who died March 18, 2003. The couple had been married more than 57 years.

Born Oct. 2, 1918, in Scranton, daughter of the late James and Mary Murray McLaughlin, she was a 1936 graduate of Holy Rosary High School and attended Lackawanna Business College. Before moving to Fayetteville in 2003, she lived in Fair Lawn, N.J., since 1956. She was a member of St. Ann’s Church, Fair Lawn and Holy Rosary Church, Scranton. Margaret was a devoted wife and mother and was a member of the Fayetteville Senior Center.

Surviving are a daughter, Jeanne Hopkins, and husband, Ron, Fayetteville; two sons, Peter Sulick Jr., and wife, Margaret, Naples, Fl.; and Robert Sulick, Key West, Fl.; a granddaughter, Patricia Sulick, Boston; and two grandsons, Peter Sulick III, Washington, D.C.; and Christopher Heydt, Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Henighan and Ann Barrett; and a brother, James McLaughlin.

Mass of Christian Burial was to be Monday at Holy Rosary Church, 316 William St., Scranton, to be celebrated by the Rev. Martin J. Gaiardo, Interment, Cathedral Cemetery, Scranton. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Rosary Church. Arrangements were made by Jennings-Calvey Funeral and Cremation Services Inc., 111 Colburn Ave., Clarks Summit.
