Marion Dietrick Haak

Marion Dietrick Haak, 90, died Monday, June 25, in the hospice wing of the Mercy Hospital in Scranton. She was the widow of George E. Haak Jr., who died in 1991.

Born in Harveys Lake, she was the daughter of the late Elwell P. and Mabel Dietrick. She was educated at Scranton Central High School and graduated from Skidmore College in Saratoga, NY. She was employed by the International Salt Co. as an executive secretary in the public relations department.

Surviving is her son George E. Haak III and his wife Linda, Wilmington DE, a sister Doris Burrus, Tuckerton, NJ, a brother Frank Dietrick, Bluffton SC, two granddaughters, Sally Cannon, Townsend, DE; and Sandy Hanstien, Pennsville NJ; and a great -grandson Patrick Hanstien. Service will be a private celebration of her life in the Lake Ariel region. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Presbyterian Church, 300 School St., Clarks Summit 18411, or to the Mercy Hospital, 746 Jefferson Avenue, Scranton. Arrangements by the Lawrence E.
