Mary Elizabeth ‘Betty’ Zeiss

Mary Elizabeth “Betty” Zeiss, Milwaukee, died Tuesday afternoon, Oct. 27, at the Abington Manor Nursing Home.

Zeiss was born in Wilkes-Barre, daughter of the late Casper and Bertha Line Arnold. She was a resident of Ransom Township since 1940. She was also a member of the former Milwaukee United Methodist Church, Eastern Star Juanita Chapter #8 and the Foster Parents Association.

Her passion and joy in life was to be a foster parent.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy Castellani and her husband, Victor, Milwaukee, Karen Hesbacher, Deerfield, Fl., and Cynthia Zeiss, Fairfax, Va.; four grandchildren, Marchelle, Vikki, Stephanie and Melanie; four great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Bertha Parks.

A funeral was to be held Saturday at the Countryside Community Church, Newton Ransom Blvd., with services by Rev. Phillip Wanck. Interment will be in Milwaukee Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Countryside Community Church, 14001 Church Hill Rd., Clarks Summit, or Asera Care, 749 Northern Blvd., Clarks Summit.
