Ralph B. Keisling, 66, of Clarks Summit, died Sunday, May 25 at Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, from complications of diabetes. He was the husband of Alice Prosser Keisling.
Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Delbert and Evelyn Baker Keisling, he was a graduate of Clarks Summit High School and the University of Buffalo. He was employed as an executive at Compression Ploymers Group International, Moosic, until his retirement in 2007. He was a member of the Gideons International of Tunkhannock. He was a member of Parker Hill Community Church and former member of Mill City Assembly of God. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and outdoorsman, which he enjoyed doing with his siblings, children and grandchildren whom he loved very much. “Papa” will be greatly missed by his grandchildren.
Ralph was a fan of watching high school athletics, especially as his son and nephews played for the Abington Heights Comets. Ralph was very grateful to Dr. Henry Yeager and Dr. Gregory Borowski, for all their efforts throughout the duration of his illness. He also was thankful to the efforts of Dr. Siman Goral, of the University of Penn Hospital, Penn Transplant Center, who made his kidney transplant a success. And to all those at Moses Taylor hospital Intensive Care Unit and Da vita Dialysis and their efforts to making his medicine issues manageable.
Also surviving is one son Matt, and his wife Brooke, Clarks Summit, two daughters Sarah Snyder, and husband Andy, Lake Winola, and Rachel Burke and husband Frank, Clarks Summit; three brothers, Alan and wife Susan, James and wife Berna, and Delbert and wife Carol, all of Clarks Summit, and one sister Phyllis Regula and husband Tom, Harveys Lake; four grandchildren Linley and Paige Keisling and Aiden and Gabrielle Snyder and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, May 29 at 10 a.m. from the Parker Hill Community Church, 607 N. Abington Rd. Clarks Summit, with services by Mark Stuenzi Pastor. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in Hickory Grove Cemetery Waverly. Friends may call Wednesday 4 to 8 p.m. at the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St. Clarks Summit. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Moses Taylor Da Vita Dialysis Center, 700 Quincy Ave Scranton Pa.
