Rebecca Harper, formerly Rebecca Phillips, 48, died in her home in Scranton on Sunday, June 15. Born in Scranton and raised in Clarks Summit, Rebecca was the daughter of Ruth DiPietro Lewis, Clarks Summit and Thomas R. Phillips, Scranton.

Rebecca was a graduate of Abington Heights High School in 1978. She attended Bergen Community College in New Jersey. Rebecca was a loving and devoted, daughter, sister, friend and mother.

Also surviving are a son, Roderick Harper, Boulder, CO; a brother, Sean Phillips, and wife, Lori, and their children, Lowell and Wynn, Nicholson; a sister, Alexis Lounsbery, and her husband, John, and their children, Masen, Baylor, and John, Boulder Co.; a stepmother, Patricia Phillips, Scranton. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Thomas and Anna Phillips, her maternal grandparents, Rev. Frank and Maria DiPietro, and stepfather John P. Lewis.

A memorial service celebrating her life was to be held Saturday, June 21 from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with the Rev. Terry Drost, pastor of the Peckville Assembly of God. There will be no calling hours.
