Richard P. Kish Sr. died Friday evening, Feb. 5, at the Mercy Hospice Unit. His wife is the former Gail Yarns Wesolowski, they were married May of 2007.
Born in Dunmore, son of the late Stephen and Anna Rice Kish. Prior to his retirement he was a sheet metal worker for Endicott Precision, he was the first hired employee who loved and was dedicated to his work for 43 years.
His passion was NASCAR and Mustangs. He enjoyed his trips to the casinos and going to his stepson Andy’s place. His beloved dog Coco was a great comfort to him during his illness. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses at Mercy Hospice for their compassion and care.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Jr. and his wife Joellen, Olyphant and Stephen, Endicott, N.Y.; two stepsons, Edward Wesolowski, Scranton and Andrew Wesolowski, Lanesboro, PA; grandchildren, Grayce, Austin, and Sybastian; step- grandchildren, Joshua, Emily, Matthew, Jacob, and Chelesa; a brother Stephen, Scranton; a sister, June Hafner, Moscow.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Grayce Jean Palmiter Kish and a brother Donald.
The funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 10 a.m. from the Lawrence E. Young Funeral Home, 418 S. State St., Clarks Summit with services by the Rev. Glenn White, pastor of Clarks Green Assembly of God. Interment will be in Abington Hills Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.
