Robert Hontz

Robert Hontz, Wilkes-Barre, died Thursday evening, July 9, at the Mercy Hospital in Wilkes-Barre.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was the son of the late Howard and Helen Hacker Hontz. Prior to retirement, he worked as a truck driver. He was an army veteran, a member of the Dallas Masonic Lodge, Caldwell Consistory, Irem Temple Lodge and a life member of the Legion of Honor.

Surviving are a caregiver, Beverly Hontz, Dalton; son, Robert Hontz, Collegeville; stepson, Christopher Mack, Media; stepdaughter, Allison Pinto, Springfield and grandchildren, Alex Pinto and Jeremy Mack.

A graveside service will be held on July 16 at 11 a.m. in Pittston Cemetery.
